Swann-Morton - You Tube debut.

After receiving a listing on Wikipedia last month Swann-Morton have now launched their range of training videos on You Tube. Already available via the Interactive section of the website this allows the video information to be accessible to a wider social media audience.

Cygnetic wins innovation award in Middle East

Swann-Morton have received notification that they have won an MEH Health and Innovation Award 2011 in the Surgical Instrument category after receiving the initial nomination from the organisers at the Middle East Hospital Publication earlier in the year.

On the 29th September, Managing Director, Richard Whiteley was pleased to present the annual Swann-Morton ODP award for academic excellence to Judith Groves who sustained high scores in her work throughout the two year course at Sheffield Hallam University.

Swann-Morton Nominated for 'Made By Britain' for manufacturing excellence.

On 6th July when the Rt.Hon. Vince Cable MP announced the launch of a new cross party initiative to recognise manufacturing excellence across Britain, Swann-Morton were proud to find they had been nominated by David Blunkett MP as representatives of his Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough constituency.

Scalpel Selection

Our latest Swann-Morton scalpel carries a graduated measure on the reverse of the handle (for indication only) to mirror our range of metal stainless handles and is marked with the CE symbol which previously only appeared on the outer product packaging.

Annual Silver Scalpel Award

Held at the Cutlers Hall in our home town of Sheffield, Swann-Morton were proud once again to sponsor the annual Silver Scalpel Award presented during the 2011 Association of Surgeons in Training (ASIT) conference from the 15th-17th April inclusive.

How Do I Remove A Blade Safely?

The Swann-Morton Blade Remover allows for safe and easy removal of all sizes of scalpel blade from both No.3 and No.4 handles. Unlike most sharp's removal devices it is supplied sterile thus allowing it to be included on the instrument tray withing the OR and to be used at the site of the invasive procedure.
