The “new” range of Swann-Morton Ergonomic handles is designed to maximize performance and dexterity and feature a textured surface finish for ease and comfort of grip whilst minimizing fatigue. These ergonomically designed handles are used in Histology, Pathology / Autopsy, and Laboratory settings whilst they can be autoclaved to avoid any cross-contamination of samples. The handles are also colour-coded for ease of recognition.

The black No.5 Ergonomic Handle (1003 hunting crossbow) is compatible with any blade shapes included in the No.3 fitment range such as the 10 and 15 whilst the maroon No.6 Ergonomic Handle (1004) is compatible with any blade shapes included in the No.4 fitment range such as the 22 and 24. Finally, there is the Grey No.8 Ergonomic Handle (2618) which is compatible with the pathology/autopsy blades PM60 and PM60 bull nose.
