SATS CONGRESS Bloemfontein South Africa

20/02/2007

Swann-Morton supported their South African partners Medequip and Safmed at the bi-annual meeting of the South African Theatre Sisters, this year held in Bloemfontein. During the event Swann-Morton presented the "Geoff Bacon Award" for the very first time, in memory of their friend and colleague who died suddenly in October 2004.

The award was presented by Chris Taylor,Sales and Marketing Director of Swann-Morton Limited during a stunning opening ceremony sponsored by Kimberly Clark, to Mrs.Sanet De Lange from St.Helena Hospital,Welkom for her contribution to research into Peri-operative procedures.

Mrs. de Lange received a traditional engraved "Sheffield" silver plate along with a monetary grant towards her further studies in recognition of her achievements.

We would again like to thank Geoff's family, his colleagues and the distinguised members of the SATS commitee for supporting our idea.
