Myringotomy Blade
The sterile stainless Myringotomy blade is used in conjunction with the SF1 or SF13 Fine surgical handle in the treatment of "Otitis media" or "Glue ear".The Myringotomy blade is used to make an incision in the tympanic membrane (ear drum) into which a "grommet" can be placed to allow ventilation of the middle ear which has become blocked thus interfering with the patients ability to hear.The Myringotomy is double egded so allowing for cutting movements in both directions. Fitment Fine. Fits Handles SF1, SF2, SF3, SF4, SF13 and SF23
