The sterile stainless Cervical Biposy blade is used in conjunction with our Long Stainless Steel Major Handle to take a "cone" biopsy of the tissue in a woman's cervix.The tissue sample can then be analysed to assess the prescence of malignent and non malignent carcinoma cells.
The sterile stainless Myringotomy blade is used in conjunction with the SF1 or SF13 Fine surgical handle in the treatment of "Otitis media" or "Glue ear".The Myringotomy blade is used to make an incision in the tympanic membrane (ear drum)into which a "grommet" can be placed to allow ventilation of the middle ear which has become blocked thus interfering with the patients ability to hear.The Myringotomy is double egded so allowing for cutting movements in both directions.
