Swann-Morton Surgical Blades
Products
Consisting of 34 blade shapes and 12 handles the Swann-Morton "general" range is used throughout all surgical disciplines including Cardiology, Orthopaedics and Reconstructive surgery. The "choice" lies with the surgeon and their expertise as to which size and shape of blade is most appropriate for a particular procedure and which handle provides them with the flexibility, dexterity and depth of field they personally require. The range does however include user specific products such as the E/11 for Podiatry/Chiropody, the 12d and 15c for Dentistry and the SG3 for minor Skin Grafts.

6th EORNA Congress , Lisbon April 2012
Following in the footsteps Brussels, Bergen, Crete, Dublin and Copenhagen the 6th tri-annual EORNA Congress and Exhibition was held at the Lisboa Congress Centre from Thursday, 26th to Sunday, 29th April 2012.
ASIT Silver Scalpel Award 2012
Swann-Morton have again Sponsored this years Silver Scalpel Award to be presented at the 2012 Congress of the Association of Surgeons in Training to be held at Cardiff City Hall from the 23rd -25th March inclusive.

This years Medica show was held at the Messe Dusseldorf from the 14th-17th November inclusive.

2012 ODP Award Winner
On the 8th November, Sales and Marketing Director, Chris Taylor, had the pleasure of presenting the 2012 Swann-Morton ODP Award for academic achievement to Lousie Warren.
Louise Warren, who completed the Diploma of Higher Education in Operating Department Practice in September 2012, has been honoured with the prestigious Swann- Morton award for academic excellence. The award, which is presented annually, is one of only six awards of this type given worldwide by the company, indeed this the only ODP award sponsored by Swann Morton.
Medica 2012
Swann-Morton will be launching their long awaited Post Mortem Disposable Scalpel Knife at the show and there will be two versions available with a choice of either the standard pointed PM40 blade or the rounded bull nose PM40B blade.
They will also be using the event to launch an extension to their Retractable Safety Scalpel range introducing the large size blades such as 20,21,22,23,24 and 25A in response to the EU Sharps Directive effective May 2013.
ASIT Silver Scalpel Award 2012
The Association of Surgeons in training welcomed over 700 delegates, guests and exhibitors to the 2012 ASiT Conference held at Cardiff City Hall in March.
