Swann-Morton ODP Award

Lorna Ratcliffe has become the proud recipient of the inaugural Swann-Morton Operating Department Practice Award for academic excellence after graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in November 2009.

New Addition to Skin Graft Family

After the successful addition of the Silvers minor skin graft knife and blades to the range last year we have extended it further with a premium stainless-steel Silvers knife, providing an alternative to the current version of the knife that has a distinctive blue autoclaveable handle.

Over the past 40 years Medica has grown into a World Forum for Medicine and will this year take place between the 18th and 21st November at Messe Dusseldorf.

45th AFPP Congress and Exhibition

Swann-Morton will be participating at this years AFPP exhibition in Harrogate from the 13th to 15th October inclusive running in conjunction with the educational conference commencing a day earlier on the 12th.

Interactive Update

The interactive training section of the site has now been updated to include enhanced training films for both the single use blade remover and the "new" advanced version of the Swann-Morton Retractable Safety Scalpels. Please take time to browse the PDF library which contains copies of the current product leaflets that can be downloaded or ordered on line. Watch out for the formal launch of the "Cygnetic" range and accompanying training films next month.

Geoff Bacon Memorial Award

At the recent SATS congress held in Durban , Quenton Greene from Medequip proudly presented the 2nd bi-annual Geoff Bacon Award to CYNTHIA NEL from Nelspruit Medi-Clinic in Mpumalanga on behalf of Swann-Morton.

Swann-Morton were recently approached by the Smile Train charity to see if they would donate products to a remarkable surgeon Mr.Hirji Adenwalla working in the small South Indian town of Thrissur.

South African Academic Awards

The annual Swann-Morton Award for Maxillo Facial and Oral Surgery was awarded at the University of Pretoria School of Dentistry to Jason Kuhn, whilst the Surgical Prize at the Onderstepoort Faculty of Veterinary Sciences was awarded to Justin Howard Benney .
